“ An excellent place to taste a creative Cretan cuisine. I was outside and the seats wasn't so nice. I saw that inside was better. Strongly recommend! ”
“ Although I knew of this restaurant for years, I only visited for the first time in April of 2025. What a pleasant surprise! Usually, I don't expect very hyped restaurants (this one has been in a lot of Greek awards) to actually "deliver" on their promise. But Charoupi did. Everything was super tasty and enjoyable. This place is maybe the ideal restaurant to introduce someone to authentic Greek tastes (eg. foreign visitors). But everything is made with great technique. Of course, it's a Cretan restaurant, so the menu will be more focused on Cretan foods. There was also a good wine list and the server tried his best to help us pair with the correct bottle. It's a bit more expensive than the average Greek tavern but this is a place that indeed is worth of the price. So, an easy suggestion for me and I'll also revisit soon. ”
“ Delicious food and great wine. I had the pasteurized egg yolks as my starter (which was truly amazing and a unique blend of tastes) and the mashed chickpeas with grilled octopus (which was the star of the show). I even got two chocolate bonbons after: yummy! ”

“ Very nice place with the Cretan food that I love so much! There was a very interesting interpretation of Ntakos salad and very tasty grilled octopus with Fava. The portions are smaller than in the other Cretan restaurants in the city and prices are higher. But it was worth it. I paid in cash and had a lesser change from the waiter... Maybe it was just a mistake, but maybe this is a tradition. Just pay attention to your bill! ”
